# Imagery & Texture

> Artwork and photography direction, plus brushstrokes, textures, and spot illustrations to download.

*Warm and human.*

Two wells to draw from: classic artwork that feels alive rather than stuffy, and original photography with genuine warmth. Reach for stock rarely, and only when it feels completely natural.

**Thoughtful, Accessible Artwork** (example: [Classic artwork example — Wild Geese Settling](https://ik.imagekit.io/renovare/tr:w-900,h-300,fo-auto,f-auto/images/2026-05-01-Wildgeese_Settling.png))

Paintings and illustrations that speak (often indirectly) to the subject.

**Authentic Photos** (example: [Original photography example — Renovaré Institute gathering](https://ik.imagekit.io/renovare/tr:w-900,h-300,fo-auto,f-auto/Institute/2023-11%20RI%20Atlanta%20PRO/RenovareInstitute-173.jpg))

Real people, real light, unhurried moments.

## Textures

Quiet movement. Hand-painted brushstrokes, wave textures, and spot illustrations for layering behind headlines, across footers, and in editorial layouts. Thumbnails below are full resolution so you can drag right into a layout.

### Brushstroke

Gray, hand-painted strokes at low opacity: a faint horizon behind headlines and in footers. The official set, downloads and placement recipes are on the [Brushstrokes](https://styleguide.renovare.org/brushstrokes/) page.
